4th edition of Transform Minds successfully realized for Volkswagen Group Technology
The fourth round of the Transform Minds program, co-initiated by Hans Reitz and circ, was realized from December 2021 to July 2022. Since 2018 circ has been mentor; consultant and organizer of the program for Volkswagen Group Technology.
The Transform Minds work on relevant transformation topics for Volkswagen Group Technology in learning journeys and project teams. The motto is: “Participate instead of just being there.” In this way, the Transform Minds are actively shaping change with their ideas and are driving the transformation forward.
This year, the 41 Transform Minds came from 6 countries and 14 locations. After a pitch and the semi-final, the winning team was chosen in the final on July 14. More than 1,200 employees took part in the voting.
On March 3, 2022, Hans Reitz initiated the “Families for Families” campaign. In this context, the first trip to the Slovakian-Ukrainian border Vyšné Nemecké was organized on 6 March 2022 to deliver humanitarian aid to Ukraine and pick up Ukrainian war victims from the border crossing to Germany. Already in the first week, the “Families for Families” campaign took on a new development: Within the next 7 weeks, every Sunday the “perfect day” café in Wiesbaden's Kirchgasse was transformed into a haven of peace for the Ukrainian families and their hosts*.
Each meeting was characterized by the questions: How can we make the refugees feel at home? What can be done to promote dialog and exchange of cultures and world views among the new neighbors? The answer: “Café Ukraina”.
On May 8, 2022, Café Ukraina opened its doors in the “perfect day” - with traditional Ukrainian cuisine prepared by the Ukrainian refugees, books about Ukraine in Ukrainian and German on the shelves, German language courses and cosy concert nights.
Café Ukraina was conceived as a philosophy and has developed into one. A community built on family values, an activity based on personal exchange and a mission characterized by a culture of peace.
